Country number five is almost done. Lots of fun has been had, and work has been completed. Let’s discuss.

The safari was fun. We saw hippos, crocodiles, pumas, rhinos, zebras, giraffes, gazelles, ostriches, among other animals. We also saw elephants on a train ride not connected to the safari. We got stuck in a line of people claiming that there was a cheetah, but I don’t think the cat was there. One important note is the entrance fee for the park is different from the fee for the safari, so make sure you know how much your trip actually costs before booking. Many people here will charge higher prices for things if you are white.

We also built a church. I did a lot of measuring, a lot of carrying, a lot of holding, some hammering, and a little cutting. We had some people who had worked in construction and someone who had worked as an engineer on our team, so it made sense for them to take the lead. The church was complete in three days, but the people there had already laid the foundation, got the pillars in the foundation, and got all the supplies. After building, we climbed a mountain, not taking the trail. So that experience was a thing.

We did a virtual parent meet up. We did testimonies, shared the gospel, did worship, and did communion. Both the girls who played the guitar had learned during the World Race so they got to play for their parents. I think the meeting went well. I enjoyed seeing my parents and everyone else’s parents.

We also went to a pool and a beach for a fun day. The time was fun, because I was at a pool and a beach. We met a guy in charge of a Christian organization I might be able to help so stay tuned. I also got to touch a camel. Camels are bigger than I thought they were.

Rest week incoming, with more fun in store, like snorkeling and camel riding on the beach. So stay tuned for the next update.
