This is not my first blog, but I have lots of firsts to write about with lots of caveats.
It was my first haircut of the World Race, possibly my only haircut of the World Race. I’m tempted to just let the beard grow in Africa, find a giant stick somewhere, and roam the streets. I don’t know if that meme will transpire, but we will see I guess.
It was my first time playing Happy Salmon. My wallet has been the fish case for that game since high school. I won! The game was very obnoxious.
It was my first time on a motorcycle to travel between prisons for prison ministry. The caveat is the motorcycle was connected as a trike, but I was on the back of the motorcycle component. Prison ministry went well, handing out food individually went well, and the breakfast went well. We also did kids ministry. Guess what? It went well. There were a lot less people at breakfast until the last 20 minutes, so we went on the street and invited some people. Some of the people we invited came through.
It was my first time completing the Old Testament. The caveat is I actually read through a day by day kids Bible as a kid. That New Year’s resolution was the only one I had ever kept until last year. My teammates actually put together a little celebration that was super wholesome. That was probably the first time I had been celebrated by friends like that in over a decade, since I normally don’t have birthday parties with friends.
Continued prayers would be great, as I am seeing and hearing a lot of rough stuff in this city.
No picture of the new hair cut? Only one of the trip? My conclusion is that it’s not your favorite look. 🙂 Continued prayers for strength and guidance as you continue on your journey.
Hi Aaron! Got you covered with the continued prayers.
