Malaysia ministry wrapped up this week. Let’s see what the contents of that wrap were.
First off, pickles. I played pickleball with a couple of people. It was fun. There were three of us, so we played two vs one. What’s interesting is that each time the person who was alone won. The first two games were blowouts for the one person, and then it was my turn to go alone. Just when it looked like I was going to get blown out down 10-3 when you play to 11, it turns out the Holy Spirit became my partner because he made the comeback through me. I was pretty hyped. The same group of people also went go kart riding that day. I had a blast driving again.
I also put some birdies in the wrap. Badminton birdies that is. Our team had connected with one of our drivers to play badminton with his family. They were better than us, but I didn’t feel terrible at badminton either (except for serving). The not terribleness was also true with pickleball. I played volleyball as a kid so maybe basic ball tracking net skills helped. I think between the two sports I preferred pickleball.
We wrapped some books for our kids to say goodbye. To tell you the truth, the books I picked are probably too advanced for them by a little but it’s something to work towards because I picked things like dragons and lions for boys and princesses for girls. The last day went poorly on my end because one of my kids hit another pretty badly which was an unfortunate note to end on.
With the kids that we can teach Bible stories, I taught about forgiveness and I thought the lesson went really well. They paid more attention to us as we went along. I pretty much took the lead on the Bible stories so that component of ministry was very fun for me.
Teams are changing, so we are saying goodbye to each other. Roles are also changing too. I know what I am, but we are not supposed to say yet.
That wraps up this blog. The contents of the wrap sound kinda gross to eat together so I guess you can just leave now.
Praying for you as you move forward to your new location, new team and assignment. ❤️
